Frequently Asked Questions
How do I order a cake?
To place an order, please visit the order tab of our website and fill out the form that corresponds with your event. Please submit any inspiration pictures to laceycakesms@gmail.com. Quotes and invoices are sent on Tuesday of every week. Our invoices are sent via Square and will come to the email you submit on your order form.
How early do I need to book?
It is recommended to reach out at least a month prior to your event date. If your event is currently less than a month away, please still submit your order request but make a note for next time. Sometimes we can fit in last minute orders.
How much will my cake cost?
All cakes are quoted individually based on design, but cake sizes and base prices are listed on our site here.
Is there a deposit required?
For celebration cakes, a standard $50 deposit is due at the time of booking. The remainder of your payment is due 7 days before your pick up date. For wedding cakes, a $100-$150 deposit is due at the time of booking. The remainder of your payment is due 7 days before your wedding.
What flavors do you offer?
Our current list of flavors is white, almond, yellow, funfetti, strawberry, chocolate, red velvet and carrot. Our cakes come standard with American Buttercream Icing. We offer limited flavors as Lacey is a (*becomes ostentatious*) buttercream artist. Our creativity and joy comes while decorating and perfecting your cakes. Other flavor requests may be accepted, but it is with the understanding that you are agreeing to a LaceyCakes version of that flavor.
Can you replicate a design for a cake?
We love seeing inspiration pictures to see what you're envisioning for the cake, but we do not ever guarantee to replicate a cake exactly. Design choices are subject to vary at our discretion when necessary to preserve the integrity of the cake. Please also note that our buttercream is made in house so colors may vary slightly from pictures submitted.
What if I need to change something on my order?
You have up till 7 days before your order to make changes for your cake. After that time, changes may still be accomodated but are subject to review.
How should I store my cake?
Refrigeration is ALWAYS best for your cake, especially if you need to keep your cake overnight or if your cake will be sitting outside at your event. If you are unable to refrigerate your cake, store in a cool, dry area of your house.
Do you offer cookies?
We don't , but we have friends that do! Visit their pages at Southern Girl Cookies or KD's Kookie Jar.
Do you have ready made cakes?
At this time, we don't offer carry-out cakes.
