Hey Y'all
I'm Lacey Jay, the HBIC (head baker in charge) here at LaceyCakes. My bakery is located in Ocean Springs, MS, which is truely one of the most beautiful and quaint cities in Mississippi. I'm a Gulf Coast native, firefighter wife, and mama to Kessler. I am OBSESSED with the Office and if you catch me working at the bakery, it is probably playing in the background. I also love Sunday Funday boating with my family, brunch with the girls, and falling asleep at 8:30pm.
Our Story
I've always been a creative person and tried several creative outlets before finding my passion in cake decorating (weeding a vinyl Cricut design made me a violent, angry person). Each year, I made my son's birthday cakes under direct supervision of my Aunt, Lisa Starner, who owned a bakery in Long Beach, MS in the 80's. But, in July of 2018, I made my best friend's bridal shower cake (pictured) and that changed everything. The order requests started coming, and haven't stopped since.
Thousands of hours, hundreds of cakes, and dozens of weddings later, I am a full time baker with a by-appointment bakery. I am the girl to whip you up a custom buttercream wedding or event cake for the milestones and unforgettable moments in your life.
